It has literally been years since we have had the immediate family all together... Kim and I flew up to see Mum, Dad and Jack in their new hometown - Airlie Beach..
We had a very action packed weekend - Including fishing at sunset, drinks, all day cruise including Whitehaven, hill inlet, pit stop bay, snorkeling, nature walk, quiet night just me and Kim, shopping with the girls, markets, beading, BIG night out, dingo beach, saving a kookaburra's life & montes at hideaway beach..
So with such a big weekend, it was no surprise that i came back with 1000+ photos between my new Canon DSLR & my Waterproof Olympus...
At the moment i have no editing software, so some of the photos need tweaking, and i will surely re blog some later - but for now they will have to be blogged as they are.
Unfortunately since i got the camera like 2 days before i went away - i had not much time to learn how to use it. So i spent the 4 days mainly shooting in Auto (I know - Cheating) and then playing around with settings when i had time..
I have spent all day going through the photos and whittling it down (While i should be working). Finally i have come up with the sneak peek – The rest will be up on facebook in a folder soon :)
Dad teaching Jack how to bait a hook - Should have forced the flash on for this one to fill in their faces... Oh well - can lighten it later :)
Dad enjoying "the best fishing of his life"
Love this shot, got it while they were posing for mum with the fish - Love getting people when they arent neccessarily paying attention, or looking at the camera... Love the warm light too :)
Jack mid-Cartwheel hehe
Mum took these ones with my underwater camera while snorkelling. She couldnt see through goggles on the LCD screen- But she did an awesome job!

QR Code
I am moving forward in the world of technology and i now have my own QR Code.
These are the future of business cards. Its a barcode containing all my information. Iphones, smartphones and androids have programs on them to allow the phone to scan, read and save the info onto the phone.
In future these will replace business cards, saving paper and money.
Ta daaaa..

Trying to relax and watch tv at home..
I even annoy him out at dinner..
But he is really warming up to me taking his picture all the time.. After all, i love him. I wouldnt make him look like an idiot in photos.. Its when he is unwilling and pulls silly faces that i have trouble..

Casper the Homing Pigeon
Meet casper... Our homing pigeon. We adopted him from my parents when they moved from the Sunshine Coast up to Airlie beach recently.. he has been in his cage for 6 weeks getting used to the place, and re setting his compass so he knows tamborine is now his home..
Last weekend we set him free, we were very worried that he would still think of the Sunshine Coast as his home and fly back there. But he is smarter than i give him credit for. This is his favourite place to sit in the morning while the sun rises... then breakfast and flying around all day exploring with friends :)
